Router DNS Proxy Setup Instructions

Setting up DNS Proxy

Our DNS Proxy requires your Public IP Address to be authorized to access the service. You can head over to the IP Authorization page to configure your access. We also have this handy guide to follow if you need any help.
Instead of setting up your computer, Apple TV and other devices individually, you can just simply setup the DNS addresses on your router and have your devices obtain the DNS values automatically (via DHCP).

Configure your router DNS server fields with these values:
Primary DNS or Static DNS 1: 138.197.111.193
Secondary DNS or Static DNS 2: 64.225.90.91

If additional DNS fields are available, just leave them blank.

You can also find instructions on how to change DNS settings for some routers here.

Note: Put in the IronSocket DNS values from the list above and not the DNS addresses shown on the OpenDNS instructions.

Once you are done with the DNS address setup on your router, follow these below steps to complete the setup on your device/s you are planning to use the service on:

  1. Configure your device/s to obtain DNS address/es automatically. Skip this step if devices are already configured.
  2. Restart your device/s.

After your IP is authorized, you can start accessing geo-restricted channels to watch movies or listen to music.
