Acceptable Use Guidelines
Effective Date: August 8, 2014
The exchange of information is a fundamental and important activity of any society. IronSocket is dedicated to providing technologies and services that allow for the safe exchange of information via the internet and its many resources. Our goal is to help users easily access information available on the internet in a manner that best protects their rights and privacy.
The purpose of providing Acceptable Use Guidelines (the "AUG") is to clarify for what purposes our services and network(s) may be used. This AUG is intended to act as a guide and is not intended to be all encompassing.
The primary purpose of our network is to facilitate the transfer of information (packets) between user devices and remote servers. Our network is comprised of servers, routers, firewalls, load-balancers, connectivity switches and other hardware and software required to connect to the internet and to deliver our services.
We allow users to connect to IRC servers through our network. We DO NOT host IRC applications or functionality directly on our network.
Peer to Peer; Bit Torrent
We allow the use of bit torrent protocols and internet peer-to-peer software for file sharing purposes, but ONLY if you have an active subscription to our services AND ONLY on servers located in specific territories. To confirm the locations where we allow peer-to-peer file sharing, please view our network details page.
You are responsible for determining the legal status of any intellectual property you access, use or copy through our network, Site and Services. You agree to not transfer copyrighted works through our network without the express permission of the copyright holder.
We retain the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse service to any individual and to discontinue service without notice and without refund for any violation of our policies and guidelines.
